Electronically Enhanced Solenoid Valves
ASCO RedHat Next Generation products are the future of solenoid valve technology. The new technology accepts both AC and DC voltages without sacrificing flow or pressure specifications. DC performance has been increased up to 500% from today’s industry standards, making the valves’ DC characteristics equivalent to AC pressure flow valves.
Other features that improve the life of the solenoid valves include a much lower temperature rise, and an increase in ambient temperature rating to 140°F.
2-Way
Two-Way Next Generation solenoid valves have one inlet port and one outlet port.
- Control of air, water, light oil, and non-corrosive media
- Normally Closed (opens when energized)
- Normally Open (closed when energized)
- ¼” – 2” pipe sizes
3-Way
Three-Way Next Generation solenoid valves have three ports and two orifices. When one orifice is open, the other is closed.
- Control of air, water, light oil, and non-corrosive media
- Normally Closed (pressure to cylinder port when energized) operation
- Normally Open (cylinder port exhausts when energized) operation
- Universal operation (can function as normally open, normally closed, diverter of fluid flow, or selector of 2 fluid sources configurable by piping)
- ¼” to ¾” pipe sizes
4-Way
Four-Way Next Generation solenoid valves have four or five pipe connections, commonly called ports. One pressure inlet, two cylinder ports providing pressure to a double acting cylinder or actuator, and one or two outlets to exhaust pressure from the cylinders.
- Control of air, water, light oil, and non-corrosive media
- Single solenoid operation (pressure and exhaust ports, and cylinder ports alternate connection based on solenoid operation)
- ¼” to 1” pipe sizes
Solenoid Valves
ASCO offers the largest selection of 2-, 3-, and 4-way solenoid valves, which are designed to handle the most demanding fluid control applications
2-Way
ASCO’s 2-way solenoid valves have one inlet and one outlet, and are used to permit and shut-off fluid flow.
3-Way
3-Ways solenoid valves have three pipe connections and two orifices. They are commonly used to alternately apply pressure to and exhaust pressure from a valve actuator or a single acting cylinder
4-Way
4-Way valves have four or five pipe connections, one pressure inlet, two cylinder ports, and one or two outlets to exhaust pressure from the cylinders.
Condensate Drain Valve Assemblies
These valves are designed to automatically drain condensate in compressed air systems. They feature standard 2-Way solenoid and piloted piston valves, along with an adjustable electronic timer.
Direct Mount
These valves are standard 3-Way and 4-Way solenoid valves whose NPT pipe connections and mounting configurations have been replaced by NAMUR mountings, which allow each valve to be mounted directly to an actuator without the use of hard piping or tubing.
Group Mounted
These valves are 2-Way, 3-Way, or 4-Way 2-position valves that are designed for gang mounting into different quantities of valves.
Pinch
Pinch valves are designed to control the flow of fluid by locating soft tubing in a mechanism that “pinches” the tubing to block the flow and releases to allow flow. Pinch valves can be used with corrosive fluids, high purity applications, or fluids with particles.
S Series
The ASCO S Series is a compact solution for 2-Way, 3-Way and steam valve applications and can operate in 15°F to 125°F ambient temperature locations.
