Wrap Spring Clutches

PSI Series (Mechanically Actuated Basic Wrap)
PSI clutches are the most basic of the wrap spring clutches designed by Danaher. As a start-stop or single revolution clutch, they are actuated by external blocking or releasing of the stop collar.  As a simple overrunning clutch, the PSI series provide positive engagement of load to power source, but permits free overrunning when input power is slowed, stopped, or reversed.

SAC Series (Solenoid Actuated)
SAC clutches operate from a single AC or DC pulse to accurately start loads at speeds up to 1800RPM, depending on size.  Adjustable stop control collars offer easy and accurate output stop position settings.  SAC clutches are easy to interface with PCs and industrial control systems.

ACCE Series (Accumulating Conveyor)
The ACCE accumulating conveyor clutch provides high performance and durability.  Designed solely for industrial use, these clutches are suitable for indexing and rapid cycling in heavy-duty machining.

ACCM Series (Accumulating Conveyor Heavy-Duty)
The ACCM accumulating conveyor clutch provides high performance and durability.  Designed solely for industrial equipment applications, these clutches are suitable for indexing, rapid cycling, and positive displacement clutching drives.

Friction Clutches
Danaher’s electromagnetic friction clutches provide an electrically switchable link between a motor and a load.  These clutches are used to couple two parallel shafts by the use of pulleys, gears or sheaves.  While the field assembly is prevented from rotating by an anti-rotation tab or flange, the rotor and the armature assembly are mounted on a single shaft, with the rotor secured to the shaft.  The armature is bearing mounted and free to rotate.  When the coil is energized, the armature engages the friction surface of the rotor, thus driving the load.

Friction Power On Brakes

Power-On Brakes provide an efficient, switchable means of stopping and/or holding the load.  While the electromagnet field assembly is fixed and prevented from rotating by a flange, the armature assembly is secured to the shaft.  When the coil is energized , the armature engages the friction surface of the fixed electromagnetic field assembly, thus stopping and/or holding the load.

Friction Power-Off Brakes

Friction Power-Off Brakes provide a safe, efficient means of stopping and/or holding a load in the absence of power.  While the electromagnetic field assembly is fixed and prevented from rotating, the rotor assembly is secured to the shaft.  In the absence of power, the fixed and rotating components are engaged, thus stopping and/or holding the load.  When the coil is energized, rotating components are disengaged thus allowing the shaft to freely rotate.

Lead Screws & ACME ScrewsDanaher Motion Image
Thomson Lead Screws are constructed of 300 series stainless steel and offer a high luster surface finish with excellent corrosion.  They are precision rolled to achieve lead accuracies of up to .003” per foot, and are available in diameter sizes of 3/16” to 3”.
