Linear Actuators

Tritex Linear Actuator
The Tritex linear actuator provides a low-cost, electric solution for a variety of industrial and military-grade applications.  Featuring Exlar’s patented Inverted Roller Screw Mechanism, the Tritex series actuators convert rotational motion to robust, long-life linear motion without the need for an additional mechanism.

By combining a brushless servo motor, servo amplifier, and position controller in a single, industrial-grade enclosure, component selection, design, trouble shooting and debugging of individual components are completely eliminated.

Tritex actuators eliminated the need for pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders while improving position performance, reducing cycle times and eliminating the maintenance associated with fluid power devices.

Key Features:

  • 3 to 18in strokes available
  • 24 to 48 VDC power
  • 1250lbf maximum thrust capacity
  • 16.6in per second max linear velocity
  • 3in frame size
  • 0.1, 0.2, and 0.5in lead planetary roller screws
  • IP54 sealing standard
  • IP65 sealing option
  • Integrated brushless motor, amplifier, and controller
  • Multiple connectorization options
  • Multiple standard and custom mounts available

GS Series Linear Actuators

GSX
The GSX series actuator provides a complete actuation solution for almost any application and environment.  The compact and cost-efficient actuator offers 15 times the life cycle of similarly sized ball screws, due to the larger cumulative contact surface of the patented Inverted Roller Screw technology.

With IP65 sealing and ported for oil or air cooling for added performance, the GSX linear actuator is unmatched in the industry for providing thrust, force, and positioning in linear applications

Key Features:

  • 2.25in frame size
  • 3, 6, 10, 12in strokes available
  • 0.1, 0.2, 0.4in lead roller screws
  • Up to 33in per second maximum velocity
  • 1250lbf maximum thrust capacity
  • Front flange, rear flange, and rear clevis mounting options

GSM
The GSM series actuator provides a cost-efficient solution for less demanding applications or for the replacement of ball screw actuators.

In comparison with similarly priced and sized ball screw actuators, the GSM offers higher speed and load capacity, as well as a travel life of nearly 5 times greater.

Standard IP54 sealing makes the GSM linear actuator the ideal solution in place of ball screw actuators for a more compact, longer lasting solution for the same cost.

Key Features:

  • 2.25, 3.3, 3.9in frame sizes
  • 3, 5.9, 10, 12, 18in strokes available
  • 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.5, .75in lead roller screws
  • 7 to 75lbf-in torque motor availability
  • Up to 33in per second linear speeds
  • 92 to 1983lbf thrust capacity
  • Front flange, rear flange, rear clevis, trunnion, side, double side or extended tie rods mounting options
  • Encoder feedback with MS style connectors
  • UL Class H insulation system compliant
  • IP54 or IP65 sealing

EL Series Explosion-Proof Actuator
The EL series actuator is designed to operate in conditions where highly flammable or hazardous gases and vapors are present.

All converting components are mounted within the sealed motor housing.  With a simple bushing and seal arrangement on the smooth extending rod, abrasive particles or other contaminants are prevented from reaching the actuator’s critical components.  This assures trouble-free operation even in the most harshest and demanding environments.

Key Features:

  • High reliability and repeatability
  • 3.125in frame size
  • 3, 6in strokes available
  • 0.1, 0.2, 0.5in screw lead
  • 5, 10, 25in/sec maximum velocity
  • 27000lbf maximum thrust capacity

I Series Linear Actuator
The I series linear actuator offers all of the benefits of Exlar’s planetary roller screw technology, along with extreme flexibility in actuator mounting style, and the type of motor used to drive the actuator.

Two models in the I series offer an integrated load cell for force measuring capability.  This option offers a convenient method for obtaining electronic data relating to the force being applied by the actuator.

Key Features:

  • Flexible mounting options
  • Adapts to various motor types
  • Optional inline planetary gear reducer
  • IP54 and IP65 sealing available

Rotary Actuators

Tritex Rotary Actuator

Tritex actuators represent an all-electric actuator solution for moving and/or positioning mechanical devices in a large variety of industrial or military grade applications. Tritex actuators eliminate the need for pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders while improving position performance, reducing cycle times and eliminating the maintenance associated with fluid power devices.

Tritex rotary motors and gearmotors provide high response and precise control of a rotatable shaft similar to that found in any electric motor. The difference is that with Tritex you can program the rotational speed and position of the output shaft in response to external commands.

Key Benefits:

  • 90 mm frame size
  • Up to 42 lbf-in (4.7 Nm) continuous and 84 lbf-in (9.4 Nm) peak torque
  • Integrated planetary gearing option 4:1 to 100:1 ratios
  • Up to 1700 rpm base motor speed
  • Multiple standard and custom mounts available
